Το καλοκαίρι μένουμε ασφαλείς – Ενημερωτική καμπάνια για την ασφάλεια των ατόμων 3ης ηλικίας στη θάλασσα

O Εθνικός Οργανισμός Δημόσιας Υγείας (ΕΟΔΥ) πραγματοποίησε, στις 17 Ιουνίου 2022, τηλεδιάσκεψη με θέμα «Το καλοκαίρι μένουμε ασφαλείς» – Ενημερωτική καμπάνια για την ασφάλεια των ατόμων 3ης ηλικίας στη θάλασσα» με τη συμμετοχή περισσοτέρων από 100 εκπρόσωπων της Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης, φορέων του Υπουργείου Υγείας, του Λιμενικού Σώματος, της Διεύθυνσης Λιμενικής Αστυνομίας και κοινωνικών φορέων.

Χαιρετισμούς απηύθυναν ο Πρόεδρος του Εθνικού Οργανισμού Δημόσιας Υγείας  Καθηγητής Θεοκλής Ζαούτης, ο Πρόεδρος του Πανελληνίου Συλλόγου Φυσικοθεραπευτών κ. Πέτρος Λυμπερίδης, η Διοικήτρια της 7ης Υγειονομικής Περιφέρειας Κρήτης κα Ελένη Μπορμπουδάκη, ο ταμίας του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Συνδέσμου Κοινωνικών Λειτουργών Ελλάδος κ. Περικλής Τζιάρας, και ο Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Γεροντολογικής και Γηριατρικής Εταιρείας Καθηγητής Ιωάννης Καραϊτιανός.

Ο κ. Ζαούτης αναφερόμενος στο κύριο θέμα της τηλεδιάσκεψης, την παρουσίαση της φετινής καμπάνιας με επίκεντρο τους ηλικιωμένους συμπολίτες μας, που αποτελούν διαχρονικά στην Ελλάδα τα πιο συχνά θύματα πνιγμών, υπογράμμισε ότι «Θεωρούμε εξαιρετικά σημαντική την ενημέρωση των επαγγελματιών υγείας, που προσφέρουν υπηρεσίες σε χώρους Παροχής Υπηρεσιών Υγείας και στα ΚΑΠΗ, για τις βασικές προληπτικές οδηγίες, που πρέπει να τηρούνται έτσι ώστε όλοι να απολαμβάνουν τη θάλασσα με ασφάλεια».

«Σκοπός της σημερινής μας τηλεδιάσκεψης είναι η αποτροπή των ατυχημάτων και των πνιγμών στις θάλασσες, η ενίσχυση της ασφάλειας με τη συνεργασία του ΕΟΔΥ, της SafeSportsWater και όλων των φορέων, που βρίσκονται αυτή τη στιγμή μαζί μας» ανέφερε καταλήγοντας ο Πρόεδρος του ΕΟΔΥ.

Ακολούθησε η παρουσίαση της φετινής καμπάνιας από τον Πρόεδρο του μη κερδοσκοπικού Οργανισμού «SafeWaterSports» κ. Παναγιώτη Πασχαλάκη και οι ομιλίες του Διευθυντή της Λιμενικής Αστυνομίας, Αρχιπλοιάρχου, κ. Χαράλαμπου Μαρουλάκη, εκπρόσωπο του Λιμενικού Σώματος Ελληνικής Ακτοφυλακής (ΛΣ.ΕΛ.ΑΚΤ.) και του Προέδρου Θεσμών και Διαφάνειας της Κεντρικής Ένωσης Δήμων Ελλάδας (ΚΕΔΕ)-Δημάρχου Βάρης Βούλας Βουλιαγμένης κ. Γρηγόρη Κωνσταντέλλου.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της τηλεδιάσκεψης στην οποία από πλευράς ΕΟΔΥ συμμετείχαν ο Αντιπρόεδρος του ΕΟΔΥ Καθηγητής Δημήτρης Παρασκευής, η Προϊσταμένη της Διεύθυνσης Επιδημιολογίας και Πρόληψης Μη Μεταδοτικών Νοσημάτων και Τραυματισμών κα Αγγελική Λάμπρου και ο Προϊστάμενος του Τμήματος Επιδημιολογίας και Πρόληψης Τραυματισμών κ. Ελευθέριος Μπουρνουσούζης, συζητήθηκαν καίρια θέματα που σχετίζονται με την ανάπτυξη κοινών δράσεων για τη μείωση των πνιγμών και των ατυχημάτων στη θάλασσα, ενώ συμφωνήθηκε η αναγκαιότητα συνεργασίας όλων των αρμόδιων φορέων σε μια σειρά πρωτοβουλιών για την ενίσχυση της ασφάλειας στη θάλασσα και τη μείωση των πνιγμών καθώς και για λοιπές δράσεις πρόληψης που αφορούν τον πληθυσμό που εξυπηρετούν τα ΚΑΠΗ.

Ο ΕΟΔΥ,  θέτοντας πάντα ως προτεραιότητα τον άνθρωπο υποστηρίζει ενεργά και ενισχύει τις καμπάνιες ενημέρωσης και ευαισθητοποίησης σε συνεργασία με όλους τους αρμόδιους φορείς σχετικά με την πρόληψη των ατυχημάτων στη θάλασσα.
