Η Ελευσίνα ένας τόπος μυστηρίων με μοναδική αρχαία αλλά και σύγχρονη ιστορία, συστήνεται στο κοινό μέσα από ένα πρωτότυπο βίντεο σε παραγωγή της 2023 ELEVSIS Πολιτιστικής Πρωτεύουσας της Ευρώπης. Με αφορμή την πρώτη διεθνή ανοιχτή πρόσκληση για τη διαμόρφωση του καλλιτεχνικού προγράμματος της υπό τον τίτλο “ΜΥΣΤΗΡΙΑ ΜΕΤΑΒΑΣΗΣ”, η 2023 ELEVSIS επιχειρεί να αποκαλύψει κάποια από τα καλά κρυμμένα μυστικά της πόλης που κάνουν τόσο ξεχωριστό αυτόν τον τόπο, διεγείροντας παράλληλα και το ενδιαφέρον ανεξάρτητων καλλιτεχνών, καλλιτεχνικών ομάδων, φορέων και οργανισμών από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, για νέα έργα και δράσεις, που θα πραγματοποιηθούν το 2022 και 2023.

Η Ελευσίνα αποτελεί την τέταρτη κατά σειρά Πολιτιστική Πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης, που φιλοξενείται στην Ελλάδα. Αντλώντας έμπνευση από την πλούσια ιστορία της πόλης, η 2023 ELEVSIS διαμορφώνει ένα ολοκληρωμένο καλλιτεχνικό, ερευνητικό και εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα, τα ΜΥΣΤΗΡΙΑ ΜΕΤΑΒΑΣΗΣ, που κινείται σε τέσσερις στρατηγικές κατευθύνσεις: Πολιτισμός, Άνθρωπος, Πόλη και Περιβάλλον. Αντίστοιχα, διακριτοί και διασυνδεδεμένοι, διαμορφώνονται και οι τρεις κεντρικοί θεματικοί άξονες του προγράμματός της: Άνθρωπος / Κοινωνία, Περιβάλλον και Εργασία, αντανακλώντας τα μοναδικά χαρακτηριστικά της πόλης και τις σύγχρονες προκλήσεις, που αντιμετωπίζει τόσο η Ελευσίνα όσο και η Ευρώπη.

Elefsina, a place of mystery with a unique ancient and modern history, is introduced to the public through an original video produced by the 2023 ELEVSIS European Capital of Culture. On the occasion of the first international open invitation for the formation of its artistic program entitled “MYSTERIES of TRANSITION”, 2023 ELEVSIS attempts to reveal some of the well-hidden secrets of the city that make it so special, while stimulating the interest of independent artists, artistic groups and, organizations from Greece and abroad, for new projects and actions that will take place in 2022 and 2023.
A few words about 2023 ELEVSIS

Elefsina is the fourth European Capital of Culture hosted in Greece. Drawing inspiration from the rich history of the city, 2023 ELEVSIS forms a comprehensive artistic, research and educational program, the MYSTERIES of TRANSITION, moving in four strategic areas: Culture, People, City and Environment. Accordingly there are three distinct and interconnected central themes of the programme, People / Society, Environment and Labor, reflecting the unique features of the city and the contemporary challenges both Elefsina and Europe are facing.
