ΜΥΣΤΗΡΙΟ 62 ΝΥΧΤΕΣ ΒΡΑΔΥΤΗΤΑΣ – ΟΜΙΛΙΕΣ ΓΙΑ ΤΟΝ ΧΡΟΝΟ ΠΕΜΠΤΗ 24.06.2021 | 19.00 ΕΛΕΥΣΙΝΑ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΤΙΚΗ ΠΡΩΤΕΥΟΥΣΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΥΡΩΠΗΣ 2023

Η Νύχτα Βραδύτητας (Nuit de la Lenteur) παρουσιάστηκε το 2018 για πρώτη φορά στην Ελευσίνα, σε συνεργασία με το Γαλλικό Ινστιτούτο Ελλάδος. Αυτή η βραδιά είναι μέρος μιας ετήσιας εκδήλωσης αφιερωμένης στην ανταλλαγή και κυκλοφορία των ιδεών, που διοργανώνεται από τα Γαλλικά Ινστιτούτα σε όλο τον κόσμο. Η Ελευσίνα 2023, Πολιτιστική Πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης, επαναλαμβάνει και εξελίσσει τη δράση το 2021 με δύο βασικές στιγμές και τίτλο «Νύχτες Βραδύτητας – Ομιλίες για τον Χρόνο».

Οι Νύχτες Βραδύτητας διοργανώνονται δύο φορές το έτος, υπό το φως της πανσελήνου, και παρουσιάζουν μία σειρά πρωτότυπων ομιλιών με διακεκριμένους προσκεκλημένους, θέτοντας πάντα στο επίκεντρο την έννοια του χρόνου. Παράλληλα, κάθε εκδήλωση συνοδεύεται και από διαφορετικά πολιτιστικά δρώμενα. Οι Νύχτες Βραδύτητας έρχονται να μας μυήσουν στην τέχνη της βραδύτητας, μειώνοντας του ξέφρενους ρυθμούς ενός κόσμου που κινείται πολύ γρήγορα.

Η Είσοδος στη δράση είναι Ελεύθερη με Δελτίο Εισόδου. Η διάθεση τους ξεκινά μία (1) ώρα πριν την έναρξη της εκδήλωσης και μέχρι εξαντλήσεώς τους.

The Night of Slowness (Nuit de la Lenteur) was presented for the first time in Elefsina in 2018, in collaboration with the French Institute of Greece. It is part of an annual event, dedicated to the exchange and circulation of ideas, organized by French Institutes all across the globe. Eleusis 2023 European Capital of Culture repeats and further develops the action in 2021 with two key moments, under the title “Nights of Slowness – Discourses about Time / Nuits de Lenteur – A propos du Temps”.

The Nights of Slowness are hosted twice a year, under the light of the full moon, and present a series of original discussions featuring distinguished guests, always focusing on the concept of time. At the same time, each event is accompanied by different cultural actions. The Nights of Slowness are here to introduce us to the art of slowness, and to slow down the frantic pace of a world that moves way too fast.

Free Admission with Entry Pass. Their distribution starts one (1) hour before the start of the event and lasts until their exhaustion.

Η ποιητική σύνθεση είναι εμπνευσμένη από την πολιορκία του Μεσολογγίου και την ΄Εξοδο, ένα από τα γεγονότα της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης που επηρέασαν καθοριστικά την πορεία της. Η συνομιλία ανάμεσα στο παρελθόν και το παρόν, η επανανοηματοδότηση των ιστορικών γεγονότων που σημάδεψαν την πορεία του νεοελληνικού κράτους, η σχέση ανάμεσα σε εκείνους τους Πολιορκημένους και τους σημερινούς, μιας σύγχρονης πόλης με μακραίωνη ιστορία, είναι οι αναζητήσεις της site specific παράστασης που σκηνοθετεί η Ελένη Ευθυμίου, σε συνεργασία με τους ίδιους τους κατοίκους της Ελευσίνας.

The poetic composition is inspired by the siege of Messolonghi and the exodus, one of the events that decisively influenced the course of the Greek Revolution. The conversation between the past and the present, the reinterpretation of the historical events that marked the course of the modern Greek state, the relationship between those Besieged and their present counterparts in a modern city with a long history, are some of the themes explored through the site-specific performance directed by Eleni Efthymiou, in collaboration with the residents of Elefsina.
